The Maritime Museum of Barcelona participates in the Sponsor Your Facility (Apadrina el teu Equipament) project, an initiative born in the 2013-2014 school year. It promotes collaboration among large cultural facilities and educational centres in the Raval neighbourhood to develop projects that fit the academic curriculum throughout the school year.
This initiative is coordinated by the Tot Raval Foundation with the support of Raval Cultural, within the framework of the Ciutat Vella Educational Plan and the Ciutat Vella District of Barcelona. It offers activities both in the classroom and in cultural facilities, with the aim of collaborating to develop an educational offering adapted to different realities, and of bringing the Raval’s great cultural facilities closer to students from neighbourhood schools.
