Underwater navigation
Embroidered silk flag flown from the Ictíneo I, the first submarine designed by Narcís Monturiol, when it successfully completed its trials in the Port of Barcelona in 1859. The flag has three horizontal red-yellow-red stripes, with two coral branches, the sea and a five-pointed star embroidered in the middle along with the words “Plus Intra Plus Extra”.
