Model ships
Model made by Luis Jacoby in 1929 or 1930, representing a steamship built in Glasgow in 1866 that belonged to shipping company Inman Line. This model represents the transition from sail to steam power, as it includes an engine while still conserving the rigging of a frigate. It also includes another traditional element from tall ships, a figurehead representing a full-bodied human figure wearing a tunic.
