Map showing the demolition of the sea wall and the sections removed. The sea wall was built in different stages starting in the 16th century. It was part of the walls surrounding Barcelona, protecting the city on the seaward side. The top of the wall was a beloved promenade for citizens, and it also contained dozens of warehouses below. This document is part of the historical archive of the Barcelona Port Authority (APB) on the Port of Barcelona deposited at the Maritime Museum of Barcelona.
