This map is sheet number 3 in José Rafo’s project for reforming the port of Barcelona. It shows different moments in the history of the port between 1773 and 1850. Rafo’s project represents the great transformation of the industrial port and how it fit into Ildefons Cerdà’s design for a city in expansion once the old walls were torn down. This document is part of the historical archive of the Barcelona Port Authority (APB) on the Port of Barcelona deposited at the Maritime Museum of Barcelona.
