Ship’s position log of the corvette Nueva Borinquen, which set sail for Buenos Aires-Montevideo-Charleston-Buenos Aires-Cuba-Cienfuegos-Havana-Spain. This book was property of Captain M. Millet, and is dated to 1880. The corvette Nueva Borinquen was built in Arenys de Mar in 1863 by shipwright Salvador Busquets. It sailed until 1899, when it was decommissioned after arriving in very poor shape at the port of Nassau. The ship had multiple owners, and during the period when this book was used, it belonged to the company Hijos de Jover y Serra. The book is decorated with coloured drawings of vessels.
