Navigational instruments
This is a sundial made of two plates connected by hinges. The instrument shows the hour lines for a horizontal dial and for a vertical dial. The silk thread that crosses the dihedral serves as the style, while a small compass helps to orient the horizontal face of the quadrant. The top cover shows a list of the principal cities of the world with their latitudes.
